At Kylee Doyle Photography, each Pet Portrait Session is a unique experience, tailored to fit the needs of you and your pet(s). You will be guided through our easy 3-step process.

Step 1

The Planning Appointment is our opportunity to get to know each other, chat about your dog, and plan your session, including location, wardrobe, goals, and how to best display your artwork.

Planning Appointment

Step 2

This is the fun part! We'll take our time, allowing your dog to be himself, while I capture a combination of candid and posed images. Your dog will get plenty of treats and playtime!

Step 3

1-2 weeks after your Session, we will meet for your Ordering Appointment to view proofs, look at product samples, and place your order. I will help you decide on and design your perfect artwork.

Ordering Appointment

All Pet Portrait Sessions require a $300 non-refundable retainer. All prints and products are purchased separately. Digital files and prints are not included in the retainer. Most customers choose to invest at least $2,000 in artwork.

What if my dog can't go off leash?

It's not a problem! Most of the dogs I photograph remain on leash throughout the session for their safety. I even have a long line leash that can be used for getting action shots. Leashes will be removed during post processing.

Can I bring extra pets or humans to our session?

In order to create a positive and calm environment for our session, please don't, unless extra humans or animals have been discussed as part of the contract. The only exception is if you need the extra help to manage your dogs.

Do you photograph all year round?

Absolutely! Each season provides beautiful, unique backgrounds for your pet. We are fortunate to live in a location with limited inclement weather. In the case of impending rain or sweltering summer temperatures, I will do my best to reschedule around the weather, and I will stay in touch with you every step of the way.

Do you photograph pets other than dogs?

I sure do! While most of my clients have dogs, I also love photographing cats, horses, farm animals, and really any other part of your furry, feathery, or scaley family. I would even be open to photographing the odd tarantula.

How far will you travel for sessions?

Your session fee includes travel up to 30 miles (one way) from zip code 95742. If you would like for your session to take place further away, you will be charged a mileage fee, not to exceed the current IRS mileage rate.

The only exception to this is Limited Edition Sessions that are set at locations outside of this radius by me.

Are prints included in my session fee?

No, all prints and products are sold separately. Your session fee will be converted into a product credit that you can use toward the purchase of wall art of other products. Product pricing will be provided at your Design Consultation.

What should I bring to my session?

Collar and lead - make sure the collar is nice and clean as it will be in the photographs.

Harness or gentle leader - for walking between locations, if necessary.

Treats and toys - nobody wants to work for free! Make sure all treats are in small pieces.

Water - for both you and your dog.

Poop bags - because poop happens.
